FOLLOW ME. Oil on canvas 7x5 inches. Sold! Copyright Vernita Bridges Hoyt 2014. This first painting to be completed in 2014 was posted and sold at my other blog, so I am thankful to have a sale come in on the third day of the new year. It must be a sign. I need to paint more.

Another commissioned portrait I did just before Christmas is this pencil drawing of Baby Ryland, 11x14 inches. What a sweet baby Ryland is!

Portrait of Harley Cat, watercolor and ink line on Arches 140 lb. hp paper, 8 x 8 inches, copyright Vernita Bridges Hoyt 2013. Click on the images to enlarge and see all the color in this gray cat.

I’ve been catching up on some paperwork and painting commissions. Harley Cat was one of the commissions. The portrait of Harley was shipped to his family and delivery is expected on Wednesday. I hope they like the painting as well in real life as they did the images.

One commission painting done. Now I’m on to the next.

Queenty Boxer, Study #2 to familiarize myself with Queenty before going on to the 20x16 inch portrait. Queenty lived in Luxembourg and I lived in Texas. I never got to meet Queenty in person, so I painted her in quick study sketches to get to know her. The three small studies were shipped along with the large pet portrait as part of the provenance of this painting. Image COPYRIGHT Vernita Bridges Hoyt 2011.
